IEYI 2026 — Beijing, China
"Inspiring Teenagers to Create, Cooperate and Contribute"
First established in Tokyo in 2004, the International Exhibition for Young Inventors (IEYI) has grown into a distinguished international platform for youth innovation and cross-cultural exchange, now encompassing nearly 40 member countries and regions worldwide. IEYI 2026 brings together young inventors and artists at the iconic National Aquatics Center in Beijing to showcase creativity, share ideas, and forge lasting international friendships.
Stimulate scientific thinking and foster core competencies in critical thinking, problem-solving, and design knowledge through hands-on invention.
Build bridges between young minds from nearly 40 countries through international teamwork, mutual learning, and cross-cultural exchange.
Inspire creative approaches to invention that serve society, enhance cultural exchange, and contribute to a sustainable, innovative future.
Participants may enter as an Invention team or submit an Artwork entry — but not both simultaneously.
Inventions for detection and/or prevention of natural disasters, post-disaster management, or contributions to individual safety and health through devices, systems, or practical solutions.
Inventions that enhance recreational activities, sports, or entertainment experiences; or tools useful in classrooms and other educational settings.
Inventions that improve the quality of agricultural practices or address modern food security issues through systems, technologies, or products. Note: living organisms may not be used.
Inventions for improving convenience in everyday life — from cleaning tools and kitchen gadgets to household solutions that make daily routines simpler and more efficient.
Inventions enhancing convenience and accessibility for individuals from minority groups, those with disabilities or special needs, or the elderly — promoting inclusivity and independence.
Green Technology & Sustainability; inventions using Aerospace Technology, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and/or the Internet of Things (IoT) to advance human civilization.
Theme: "Science of Tomorrow"
Use your imagination to create a vision of the "Science of Tomorrow" — what will the future be like? What new science and technology will we have? How will the environment and our daily lives change? Artwork submissions are individual entries that express scientific imagination through visual art.
Artwork entries are also divided into Junior (under 14) and Senior (14 and above) groups.
